Fabulous!

A very intense, but oh, so satisfying story that will melt your heart.

There’s no greater man than retired Marine, Chase Dixon. One who selflessly participated in a bone marrow fund-raising drive because he has a rare blood type and just because he cares. He cares about many things and many people in his world. His hand-picked employees and operatives from his company, Blackhawk Security, are like his own family. It’s no wonder he immediately fell in love with the sweet little girl, Mackenzie Hart.

His bone marrow was a match for Mickey when she suffered from Leukemia. An instant bond is shared by these two and another more “adult” bond is shared between Chase and Rylie Hart, Mickey’s adoptive mother.

This fabulous story is so full of emotion and angst. With the growing relationships between Mickey, Chase and Rylie, there is an added complication of a custody battle brought by Mickey’s biological grandparents. This is where the story gets twisty as it involves a sleazy Senator and even more sleazy pair of lawyers trying to stack the deck against Rylie who is just trying to provide the best possible life for her young daughter and to honor the memory of her best friend.
It also gets quite hot and steamy as Chase and Rylie acknowledge their feelings for one another and hope to build a life together with Mickey.

I love Chase’s protectiveness towards Rylie and Mickey even though his methods are a bit over the top sometimes. You will feel that all Rylie’s options have been exhausted until Chase and his take charge attitude become essential in getting Rylie the help she needs in this fight for her daughter.

A must-read for sure! You will get totally immersed in their story and won’t be able to put it down until the very last word!

Sweet read

I really enjoyed this story. Chase and Riley have immediate chemistry. Mickey really steals the scenes she’s in. This is a great, sweet love story. The angst is not in the love relationship. I so enjoyed just following along their journey.

Wherein Chase falls in love – with a little girl he has to fight for
Long-time fans of Samantha A. Cole’s books will be familiar with Chase Dixon’s name, if nothing else, because the Trident guys often call on Blackhawk Security for backup (or the loan of a helicopter!), and finally we get to know him personally. We meet him really as he’s taking flowers to his date – a little girl named Mickey to whom he donated bone marrow when she was fighting cancer. The bonus for Chase, of course, is that Mickey’s guardian (after her mother’s death) is her aunt Rylie – and they have Chemistry! But this is a book, so we know the course of true love (or even just getting to know one another) is not going to run smoothly 😊. An epic custody fight, assistance from Ian “Bossman” Sawyer himself, and sheer determination from Chase to make Mickey and Rylie his family all come together to make a book that makes you cheer for the good guys, loathe the bad guy, and fall in love a bit yourself – whether it’s with Chase, Rylie, or Mickey – or all 3.

I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.

A year ago, Rylie Hart was suffering the worst news a mother could get -- that her adopted daughter, Mackenzie (aka Mickey), would need a bone marrow transplant to cure the recurrence of her leukemia. Today, Mickey is healthy, happy, and ready to meet her bone marrow donor, Blackhawk Security CEO Chase Dixon. Chase is delighted by the adorable little girl and captivated by her sexy mother. But Rylie and Mickey are in trouble when the kindergartner's alleged father's parents try to sue for custody of the little girl.

While the Blackhawk Security series is related to her BDSM-themed Trident Security romantic suspense series (Trident's Ian Sawyer makes several appearances in Blood Bound), this is more of a traditional romantic suspense novel. While some authors have had difficulty transitioning to more vanilla subjects, Cole's style remains exactly the same, and her writing is equally as good.

This is one of the best novels I've read this year. Rylie, Mickey, and Chase are adorable together; Meat the rescue pit bull makes another appearance (and makes friends with Mickey), and the resolution to the conflict is something I never saw coming. This book is simply a delight, and I can't wait for more Blackhawk Security novels.

Samantha Cole has done it again! Chase Dixon, the leader of BHS, finally gets his story and the readers get to go along for the ride. At a time in little Mickey's life when she needed help, Chase was the one who provided that help. Now, they get to meet in person and Chase instantly falls for the little girl. And her mother!!! LOL The story made me laugh, made me cry, ticked me off and then made me smile at the end because Lord knows I love Ian Sawyer! LOL Love is sometimes a rough road and the twist in this story was one I did NOT see coming. I thought I had it figured out but nope, in her usual style, Ms. Cole threw my thoughts right out the window. Chase will do anything to protect the woman he's fallen in love with and the little girl who has his blood running through her veins. Loved the story and I'm looking forward to seeing them mentioned in future Blackhawk Security books.

As always, I get excited when a new book by Samantha Cole comes out. Her series are some of my absolute favorites, and her new Blackhawk Security series is another in my library that I just can’t put down. Her heroes and heroines always have human quirks that we can all identify with, and it’s always nice to see a hero who does something heroic in ways that quietly save another’s life.

Chase Dixon is such a hero. He’s saved the 7 year old daughter of Rylie Hart by donating his bone marrow a year earlier. Now, he’s going to meet Mackenzie “Mickey” Hart. When he does, she steals his heart, as does Rylie.

But the woman who adopted her best friend’s daughter is about to deal with a legal battle with Micky’s paternal grandparents. They want Mickey for their own. And she’s about to find out a secret her friend kept from her. It’s a good thing she has Chase Dixon on her side.

I just loved the romance between these two. And Mickey had me in tears with her Princess Bride quotes, especially towards the end. I just about lost it I was laughing so hard. It’s my favorite movie too! Such an amazing book!

As with all of the books by this author, you know you are going to get a sexy as sin man. In this one, we have Chase Dixon. I have "met" him in other books, but only in a professional capacity. This book shows us the total package. Chase is an amazingly sweet and soft man to the ones he loves, but can be vicious to anyone or anything that threatens them. Another amazing 5 star book!

Samantha A. Cole, has done it again. I love a story with a beautiful child and an Alpha male that is a teddy bear who will do anything to protect those he loves and yet sit and have a tea party for the child that has him wrapped around her finger. Along with that a budding relationship with her mom and you have the makings of a beautiful story. Definitely a must read.

Blood Bound is the second book in Samantha A. Cole's Blackhawk Security Series, but it can easily be read as a stand alone, and that's exactly what I did, and I enjoyed it a lot. As not only was it well-written and nicely paced, but it had just the right amount of mystery, drama, angst, heat and sweetness, and with really likable and engaging characters I was hooked throughout.

Would happily recommend.

What a fabulous story! Chase Dixon sounds like he is right out of a Greek sculpture. Don’t even get me started on how darn cute and bubbly the character of Micky is. That little girl would have anyone that she meets wrapped around her little finger, but then a lot of seven year olds tend to do that to us grownups. Her mom Rylie is also a curvy girl that has raised Micky all by herself.
I know I’m speaking of these characters as if they were real, but that is how truly awesome that Samantha A. Cole writes. She draws you into the story on page one. I’m actually disappointed when the story ends. Her storyline is done with such colorful characters and some twists and steam in the plot, you’d think she was writing about real people. You can feel the characters with the emotional turns as the story unfolds. Each and every word is how my mind just hangs on for the ride. If you like a good story with exceptional characters and a greater plot line, you will absolutely love this book.💕

I reviewed a complementary copy of this book.

Loved Chase's story

Ok readers, I call dibs, he's mine. :)
Chase was always an enigma in the Trident series. Always had resources to help Trident out an never failed to provide assistance. And now we get to meet the man behind Blackhawk Security.

This story brought Chase to life in a big way. As the leader of BHS we know him to be commanding, loyal and brave. But to a little girl he is larger than life just because he cares about her.

We get to meet his sweet, funny and adorable side while he gets to know Riley and Mickey. They also bring out his protective side in such a fierce way.

The story is wonderfully told and we get to meet characters that I can't wait to meet in future books in this series.

Another ☆☆☆☆☆ story from Samantha Cole!

From planning to read a chapter or two to unwind, my plans changed the minute I dive into this book. The concept is wonderful. A big, burly ex-military turned security specialist wrapped around the finger of a precocious seven year old. I loved the characters involved in this story & the fact that tough Chase turned so soft for Mickey & Rylie. I can’t wait to see how their lives proceed since I know Ms. Cole will give her readers updates in future stories. While this is another great story that can be read as a stand alone, I really feel that by reading the previous story & those of her other series, you develop a better understanding of these men, their lives & their significant others.

Blood Bound: Blackhawk Security Book 2, You won’t be disappointed Samantha delivered another masterpiece. Chase is the owner of Blackhawk Security and when he meets Rylie and her Daughter Mickey he feels things he never new he wanted. I love how Ian pops into the story you can’t help but laugh at his antics. This series is exciting getting to know all new characters that work for Blackhawk Security and who might just possibly get there own story. I’m really looking forward to lots more from this series. 5 STARS +++

Samantha A Cole has a way with words. The detail and descriptions for events are perfect. She makes the reader feel like they are there.

Chase has always been there to help others out. He takes his job seriously, and that doesn’t end with his job at Blackhawk Security. When he meets the little girl he donates his bone marrow to, they formed a bond that could never be broken. He fights for her and her mother and won’t let anything get in the way of their happily ever after.

I love Chase Dixon.

Heartwarming story

This was such a touching story. Absolutely fell in love with Mickey. I always am drawn into the books that Samantha writes. She's so vivid with her words that I feel apart of the story. Definitely had some laugh at loud moments, especially with Ian Sawyer poping in. My heart felt for Rylie and I'm glad she and Chase got their HEA. I have enjoyed this and all the other books that Samantha has written. Looking forward to the next book.

Blood Bound
Blackhawk Security book 2
Samantha A Cole
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely perfection. I’m a tough critic when it comes to reviews I know it, and love by it. Some times you read a story and you love it others dig into your soul, takes up residence in your brain ( while one should be working) and makes others just OK. Blood bound had me reaped in the very first page, I had read a little glimpse of the story and couldn’t wait to get the whole story. I shared so much with this story… from heartbreak, to heroes. Loss to love, and angels to guardian angels. This story held so much, but that makes this review so much …more!

While Rylie and Mickey Hart are new characters to us, Chase Dixon, owner of Blackhawk Security has been and seen throughout the previous BHS book but also during the Trident Security series. All his sexiness oozes throughout the whole story but his care for a little girl who he didn’t know had me having tears and butterflies. Move over Ian Sawyer, you’ve got some serious competition in the sexy alpha male stakes.

Rylie Hart has seen drama and sadness in her somewhat young life. After the death of her best friend, she became adoptive mother to Mackenzie (Mickey) then had to deal with her daughter in the fight of her life with cancer. Enter one stranger who donated bone marrow to save her life. Now a year on, Mickey wants you meet the man who saved her life. When Chase entered her home, Rylie’s body is taken by the huge man with a heart of gold. She knew he changed her life through the eyes of her daughter, but he will also change Rylie’s life too.

Neither Chase or Rylie saw each other enter their lives and become their forever. But without each other they couldn’t overcome their biggest hurdle. Trust me, pack your tissues, Chase and Rylie will imprint themselves in your life as they did their own. This will be a story that will stay with me for a very long time.

Riley Hart is a single mom to an adopted daughter who has already faced more in her young life than most adults. Chase Dixon came into their lives as an act of pure generosity and selflessness and from the first time he lays eyes on Mickey and Riley he is a goner. They may be moving fast, but when you know, you know. And, when Riley and Mickey’s happiness is threatened, Chase will do everything in his power to make things right.

My heart melted for this book from the very first meeting that Chase has with Riley and Mickey. It’s literally like a real life fairy tale and captured my heart and attention. Chase may have thought he was a confirmed bachelor, but this mom and daughter had him longing to be a part of their lives. He was really amazing with how he allowed both ladies into his heart so quickly, making them both feel happy, safe and oh so loved while still being the Alpha male and protector that he is at his very core.

Riley is an amazing woman and mom. She would do anything for Mickey, including putting her own life on hold to adopt and raise her while keeping Mickey’s birth mother’s memory alive for the young girl. I adored that Chase is something she never expected or saw coming. And, Mickey . . . she adorable, charming, sweet, oh so smart and just a burst of loving energy and sunshine! While I loved her with Chase, her relationship with Tuff and Meat tugged at every emotion I have!

Blood Bound was a beautiful and unexpectedly emotional story. It’s got plenty of suspense, but the bad guys are not the typical we see in a Samantha A. Cole book (meaning terrorists or kidnappers or something of that sort) and that’s what made this book really stand out. And, that ending . . . left me looking and feeling like the emoji with a giant grin and heart eyes! 5 stars!

This book is amazing. It was such an enjoyable read. I keep telling myself I’m going to read Ms Cole’s next book slow and make it last but inevitably I end up putting an all nighter and finish it in one sitting. She has a way of telling a story that keeps you spellbound. You keep reading one more chapter until your at the end of the book. Chase Dixon is the owner of Blackhawk Security and has immersed himself in his business. He has agreed to meet 7 year old Mackenzie, aka Mickey, recipient of his bone marrow. Rylie Hart is Mickey’s adoptive mother taking her after her best friend died. Chase is totally taken by both daughter and mother. After catching a lowlife PI snapping pictures of them while out getting ice cream Chase puts body guards on the two. It turns out Mickey’s paternal grandparents, a retired senator and super rich, since their son died a few months ago. This book has a sleazy politician, equally sleazy judge and attorneys, Meat, Tuff, our lovable and sarcastic Ian, a cute little girl and 2 people who have put their love life on hold until now.

Once again Samantha A Cole has produced a gripping story with all the feels.

This is the story of Chase, head of BHS. We catch up with his team and also in pops Ian Sawyer from the Trident Security Series.

After doing something so selfless in helping save a little girls life, Chase is finally meeting her and her mom. Little does he know that Mickey and her mom Riley would end up being so much more.

Riley is the adoptive parent of Mickey and when she became really sick she was unable to help her. In comes a saviour she owes everything too. But little does she know he will help her and Mickey even more when the time comes.

Their story was so lovely. But it wouldn't be a BHS story without a little drama along the way. I loved the relationship that Mickey built up with Chase. I loved watching his and Rileys relationship go from strength to strength. I hope we can hear more from them in the future as I want to see more of Mickey. She got under the skin of all who met her.

Chase Dixon has always been a hard edged take no prisoners type of man, but the minute he meets Micky he is brought to his knees. She along with her adopted mother Riley instantly become "his girls" and he will stop at nothing to protect what he deems his. But when Micky's parentage is brought to light will Chase be able to do enough to help Riley keep her daughter? Or will being associated with Chase make it so much worse? First off, do not start reading this book if you have anywhere to be in a few hours or right before you go to bed as you WILL NOT be able to stop reading it once you start. In true Samantha A. Cole fashion, not only are the characters well written but the emotion that she intertwines between the pages will knock the reader for a loop. There is no better scene than watching a man brought down to his knees by a little girl.

I really enjoyed this book. I hadn't read the previous one, but never felt like I missed anything by reading it as a stand alone. It was actually a sweeter romance than I expected, but I liked it and it was a good, fast read.

Chase is the owner of BHS, and a swoon alpha male. Not a alphahole, but a good guy, and also a confirmed bachelor. He donated bone marrow to a young girl Mickey, who had cancer. We meet him, Mickey and her adopted mom Rylie at the beginning when they all meet for the first time as well after the transplant. Rylie adopted Mickey when Mickey's mom died a few years back. This will be important later. There is an instant attraction between Rylie and Chase, and they begin to date, slowly as not to hurt Mickey.

But Rylie is being watched and followed, and of course Chase uses all of his resources to find out why. Mickey's paternity and her mom's past come back and create drama for Rylie. Will she keep Mickey, or will she have to give up her daughter? There's just enough strife to keep your attention, and to balance out the love story. Chase and Rylie are great together, and who doesn't want a hero to swoop in and help. Its a slow burn but there's a HEA. The secondary characters are great, and a fun part to the book. Mickey is also adorable, and not precocious like some book kids.

I really liked it, and will definitely read the next book!

Oh My! Samantha has done it again! This is the second book in the Blackhawk Security series. You always hear of Chase in the Trident series. Now It's time for Chase's story. Chase Dixon is the owner of Blackhawk Security. We got to meet a couple new characters in this one. Rylie became adoptive mother to Mackenzie after her best friend's death. This story made me laugh, and made me cry too. This is another great story that can be read as a stand alone. But I would suggest that you read the first one before this one. I can't wait until I can read the next book in this series. Keep up the amazing work!

This is a fast paced intense story with well written characters and a wonderful story that I couldn't put down. Chase and Rylie are amazing together and then throw in Rylie's daughter Mickey, whose life he saved with a bone marrow transplant and this was a emotional feel good happy book that I couldn't get enough of. It's a beautiful emotional story that's got plenty of suspense, the bad guys are not the typical kidnappers or something of that sort and that’s what made this book really stand out. It's a great book and I highly suggest it.

Omg I absolutely love Chase and Riley

Holy smokes Samantha Cole absolutely made me a happy woman lol I am such a fan of hers and absolutely love the Trident men and women, but I have been dying for Chase Dixon From Blackhawk Security To get his turn at love and happiness because damn that man is a workaholic and needs to stop and enjoy life. Chase does a great thing and donates bone to a sick little girl and now the time has come he gets to meet her in person mickey is absolutely fantastic and full of life and grows on him but its her adopted mother Rylie that takes him by surprise because lets face it he is a workaholic and doesn't have time for women until her, but when supposedly grandparents try to fight for custody its chase who refuses to let them win and does everything in his power to keep Rylie and Mickey safe. Ian even offers to help chase and uses one of my favorite lines lol this book will suck you in from the beginning until the end. Bravo Samantha you nailed it.

Hooray Chase Dixon gets his own story! Blood Bound does not have hard hitting or fast paced action nor any perilous situations. Instead this is the heartwarming story of how a mere slip of a seven year old girl and her mother crawl inside the heart and soul of the tough, no nonsense owner of Blackhawk Security. Mickey Hart will tug at your heartstrings with her exuberance and joy in living. Rylie Hart is a Mama Bear through and through but she's also a soft alluring woman. The more he gets to know this mother/daughter package deal, the more he knows he wants them as his own.

Chase Dixon takes the opportunity to meet Mackenzie Hart (Mickey) whom he donated bone marrow to when she was fighting leukemia. He has an instant connection not only to her but her adopted mom, Rylie Hart.

He and his company, Blackhawk Security has Rylie's back when her custody of Mickey is being questioned due to her grandparents showing up out of the blue.

I especially loved that Ian was there when the grandparents were confronted. Love that man!

This book is my favorite type of book to read. It has suspense, intrigue, a cute kid, full of alpha males and ends with a HEA.
